Having Photoshop as part of the suite may not matter to you if you simply intend to run the trial without activating, which I'm guessing is the case. I suppose you could also download and install the individual version of Photoshop CS5.5, but it won't be part of your collection (moving it's folder location, which I wouldn't recommend, won't change that). To reinstall, you can run the installer from the CS5.5 Master Collection and select Photoshop. The Adobe uninstaller typically allows you to remove individual programs within a suite: Uninstall Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 or Creative Suite 5. If renaming the OOBE folder or troubleshooting using logs don't help, you may indeed need to uninstall, clean using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems and reinstall.
